A Late 18th Century Pewter Scottish Mug
Of lovely proportions, this straight sided mug has a single centre fillet, and stands on a broad stepped foot. The S-curve handle finishes in a most unusual heart-shaped terminal.
Scottish "chopin" capacity, circa 1780-1800.
Provenance - purchased from Gordon Hand by Michael Boorer in 1973.
Ref 178
There is a most interesting note of authentification from the Pewter Society folded up inside the mug.
